ITINERARY
Pick up at the airport or train station or arrive directly at Castello di Spessa, a very suggestive location near the golf club.
Welcome cocktail during which we will detail you about what is organized for you.
Lunch in a restaurant adjacent to the golf course where you can delight yourself with the gourmet dishes that will serve you accompanied by typical local wines.
In the afternoon, relax in the prestigious spa of the Spessa castle.
In the late afternoon you will be picked up for a spectacular and evocative journey on the Friulian Collio and Brda (so called the Collio in nearby Slovenia), and then go to a booked starred restaurant.
You will be recommended by the chef and follow their path of culinary experiences. You will certainly be captivated by the goodness and uniqueness of the dishes, by the explanations and by the apparently daring combinations and combinations that will make the dinner memorable.
After breakfast a guide will accompany you to nearby Goriza, called the Habsburg Nice during the Austo-Hungarian domination, to introduce you to some of the hidden gems that this border town hides. Starting from the castle of Gorizia, you will descend along the historic streets to still breathe that air of a beautiful and revolutionary era that was breathed in the early 1900s. A visit to the Coronini Foundation will be absolutely unmissable, where you will lose yourself in the incredible collections kept inside the palace and will be amazed by the extraordinary anecdotes, worthy of a film, of the noble family of the Coronini Counts. At the end you will be accompanied to a typical restaurant in Gorizia where very cute and very helpful waitresses in period clothes will serve you a lunch entitled "at the table with the Count" to continue to make you relive the Austrian Nice and all the diversities that this land of border has and that has enriched it.
Free afternoon to relax again in the Spa or try a few rounds of golf with an instructor at your disposal.
In the evening you will have the opportunity to taste new experiences in a second starred restaurant in nearby Slovenia where you will understand other cooking philosophies using local products at km 0 and in season. For those who wish, at the end of the evening there will be the possibility to visit the Nova Gorica Casino to spend a few hours playing with luck.
After breakfast and check out, a guide will take you to one of the prestigious farms in the area to introduce you to the secrets of wine production, through a visit to the vineyards and cellars. You will discover the innovative methods of winemaking and obviously you cannot miss a tasting of the wine produced accompanied by tastings of cold cuts and cheeses from the area. We will end with a visit to the Cormons wine shop where you can buy other typical and unique wines that distinguish the area as the home of white wines awarded each year for their excellent qualities recognized in the world.
